This is Cookie's Mum posting in Cookie's absence on Jury Duty at the Hizzoner Frankie's Court of Common Pleas. This is gonna be a very short blog as I have to take a shower to go out, Cookie has been smuggling messages to me and if I get home early enuf I will read them and see what I have to post. Otherwise I will wait until tomorrow.
Lately I have tried posting comments on several blogs. Each time it asks me to sign on to my Google (gmail) account. When I do that, I lose the text that I just input!!!! Has anyone else had that problem.

Yes we have had that problem. If we are using Google Chrome as our browser - comments work fine. If we forget and visit blogs using our MSN browser, it wants us to sign in to our google account and yes we lose everything we typed and start all over again. My suggestion is to use Google Chrome as your internet browser if you can.
ReplyDeleteOr you might be able to "sign in" before you get started with your comment
Hope this helps!

ReplyDelete................and now a greater mystery................... having put in a lengthy and, it was hoped, helpful comment her half a hour ago, something made me come back to check - and it has been disappeared!! It WAS there.... it published and everything..... which would suggest there is something 'hinky' with your system.. let's see what happens with this one... Yxx
Uh Oh, is it the blogger gremlins at play?

PeeS Its a shame we won't be seeing you in London this year but there's always next year!
Are you Using CHROME??? THAT helps. NOW when you make a comment... and see that THING.... go back up... and COPY your Comment... THEN "SIGN IN" and if your comment is GONE.... all you will need to do is PASTE what you Saved.... I have done that many times... until I switched to using Chrome... I use CHROME for BLOGGING.... but use Internet Explorer.. (IE) for Email...
ReplyDeleteWe blog alot via cell phone. We always try to copy our comment and then when we sign in we paste it. We lost too many comments.

Sometimes Blogger just does annoying things. Occasionally, we have to sign on with a profile and our comment is lost. We just re-write it and it usually goes through.
